Abstract: Wearable payment devices (WPD) are gaining acceptance fast and transforming everyday life and commercial operations in China. Limited research works were conducted on customers’ adoption intentions to obtain a real image of the evolution of WPD in China. This study aims to investigate the effects of Performance Expectancy (PE), Effort Expectancy (EE), Social Influence (SI), Facilitating Conditions (FC), Hedonic Motivation (HM), Perceived Trust (PT), and Lifestyle Compatibility (LC) on the intention to adopt WPD among Chinese consumers by expanding unified theory of acceptance and use of technology with two impelling determinants (i.e. PT and LC). Using an online survey, empirical data were collected from 298 respondents in China. In a two-stage data analysis, partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) were employed to analyse the causal effects and associations between independent and dependent variables, whereas artificial neural networks (ANN) were used to evaluate the research model prediction capability. The (PLS-SEM) findings indicated that PE, SI, FC, HM, LC, and PT had substantial positive impacts on adoption intention, whilst EE had no impact on adoption intention among Chinese consumers. The ANN analysis proved the high prediction accuracy of data fitness, with ANN findings highlighting the importance of PT, FC, and PE on the intention to adopt WPD. It was suggested that the study findings assist WPD service providers and the smart wearable device industry practitioners in developing innovative products and implementing efficient marketing strategies to attract the existing and potential WPD users in China.

Abstract: This study aims to explore the lean leadership factors influencing the effectiveness of lean healthcare performance at hospitals. A total of 217 healthcare professionals’ responses were included for data analysis. The data were analyzed using the partial least square technique. The findings revealed that improvement culture, gemba (hands-on approach), hoshin kanri (goal-oriented) and qualification are the crucial lean leadership factors that positively influence the effectiveness of lean healthcare performance at hospitals. The results indicated that the self-development of lean leaders has no significant impact on the effectiveness of lead healthcare performance. The findings of this study could contribute to the healthcare institutions in Malaysia perceive the benefits of lean healthcare and show a positive intention of using lean leadership principles.

Abstract: This study aims to investigate the impact of halal healthcare attributes, intrinsic value, and extrinsic value on satisfaction, and explores how patient satisfaction with halal healthcare services influences word of mouth (WOM) to others. The cross-sectional survey was conducted in two cities with four Islamic-friendly hospitals across Malaysia. This study used purposive and non-probability random s ling methods. Partial least square (PLS) technique was used for data analysis of 309 Muslim patients with a response rate of 61.8%. Findings revealed that hospital’s halal healthcare attributes (β = 0.225, p 0.01), hospital’s intrinsic value (β = 0.432, p 0.01), and hospital’s extrinsic value (β = 0.196, p 0.01) have significant influence on patient satisfaction with halal healthcare service, which in turn reflects the WOM to others (β = 0.692, p 0.01). The results identified that satisfaction mediates the effect of hospital’s halal attributes, as well as hospital’s intrinsic and extrinsic values on WOM. These findings will contribute to healthcare service providers and academicians for further study to improve a framework for establishing a standard for halal healthcare service for patient satisfaction and WOM to others in Islamic-friendly hospitals.

Abstract: Despite the significant economic contributions of the tourism and hospitality industry, it is also considered an emerging concern for its negative impact on the environment. This study investigated the association between green inclusive leadership (GIL), green human resource management (GHRM), and employee proactive pro-environmental behaviour (PEB). The study also investigated the mediating effect of GHRM between GIL and proactive PEB. Hotel employees in Malaysia were the respondents in this study. The researchers used a cross-sectional approach and partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) to analyse the data. Results found a significant relationship between GIL, GHRM and proactive PEB. Findings of the study revealed that GHRM significantly meditates the relations between GIL and proactive PEB. This study presents practical implications for the hotel industry by encouraging employees' environmentally responsible behaviour. Enlightening the role of environmentally open and accepting ways to promote positive employee behaviour is of considerable practical use not solely for the organisations but additionally for culture as a whole. Theoretical contributions are made by constructing a new structural model supported by the theory of planned behaviour (TPB) and the induction of GIL, GHRM, and proactive PEB and measuring the factors simultaneously. The study further established the mediating role of GHRM between GIL and proactive PEB.
