Abstract: This study was aimed to develop an optimized Dy determination method using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). The Plackett-Burman (PB) experimental design was used to select significant factors that affect the electrical current response, which were further optimized using the response surface method-central composite design (RSM-CCD). The type of electrolyte solution and litude modulation were found as two most significant factors, among the nine factors tested, which enhance the current response based on PB design. Further optimization using RSM-CCD shows that the optimum values for the two factors were 0.1046 M and 0.1082 V respectively. When the optimum conditions were applied for Dy determination good recovery and precision were achieved with values of 91.58%, and 99.80%, respectively. The detection limit and quantification limit of the method were 1.4322 mg/L and of 4.7741 mg/L, respectively.

Abstract: Welcome to the 1st Mathematics and Science Education International Seminar (MaSEIS 2019) that was held on October 5, 2019 in Bengkulu – Indonesia. It is a great honor and pleasure to bring you the collection of articles from the MaSEIS 2019. This conference was organized by the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training – University of Bengkulu, and was held at Rectorate Building, University of Bengkulu, Jl WR Supratman, Kandang Limun, Bengkulu 38121, Indonesia. The disruption era is related to the development of the industrial revolution 4.0 and society 5.0 era. Industrial revolution 4.0 era is marked by massive digital technology development in all aspects. Digital technology transformation is applied in human life and it is known as human-centered society. Development of digital technology has been influence some aspects such as education, environment, and society. Using digital technology does not only gives negative impacts but also positive impacts. It is important to strengthen sustainable education that has insight into conservation and local wisdom in this era for a better society. Our appreciation goes to all the committee members who have worked hard to make this event possible. This volume of journals provides an opportunity for readers to engage with a selection of refereed papers that were presented during the MaSEIS 2019 conference. Scopes of the conference are ranged from, but not limited to mathematics, physics, chemistry and other areas of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
