Abstract: Pterygium is an ultraviolet-related disease characterized by an aberrant, wing-shaped and active wound-healing process. There is nothing quite as disheartening for the surgeon or patient as the recurrence of pterygium, and various adjuvants have been studied to ameliorate this. This systematic review provides a comprehensive summary of the efficacy and safety of 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU) as an antimetabolite agent for pterygium management. An appraisal of electronic searches of six databases identified 34 clinical studies reporting recurrence outcomes of 5-FU use in primary, impending recurrent and recurrent pterygia. In vitro and in vivo studies of 5-FU showed dose- and duration-dependent cytostatic and cytotoxic effects in human cells. 5-FU is relatively inexpensive, available, and easy to administer, making it attractive for resource-limited scenarios. However, the published evidence demonstrates a recurrence rate of 11.4-60% with the bare scleral technique, 3.5-35.8% with conjunctival rotational flaps, 3.7-9.6% with conjunctival autografts for intraoperative topical 5-FU, and 14-35.8% for preoperative and intraoperative injections. This suboptimal efficacy brings the role of 5-FU as an adjuvant for pterygium surgery into question and the authors do not recommend its use. In contrast, postoperative intralesional injections of 5-FU to arrest progression in impending recurrent pterygium and true recurrent pterygia were more promising, with success rates of 87.2-100% and 75-100%, respectively. Furthermore, 5-FU as a treatment modality, without surgery, effectively arrested progression in 81.3-96% of primary and recurrent pterygia. Other treatments such as topical and intralesional corticosteroids, cyclosporine and anti-VEGF agents are discussed. Complications of 5-FU increase with higher doses and range from transient and reversible to severe and sight-threatening. For pterygium, 5-FU has a predilection for causing scleral thinning, corneal toxicity, and graft-related complications. Additional study with extended follow-up is needed to elucidate the optimal dose, frequency, duration, and long-term safety of 5-FU injections. If 5-FU is used in the management of pterygium, it should be with caution, in selected patients and with vigilant long-term monitoring.

Abstract: The sheer complexity of the factors influencing decision-making has required organizations to use a tool to understand the relationships between data and make various appropriate decisions based on the information obtained. On the other hand, agricultural products need proper planning and decision-making, like any country’s economic pillars. This is while the segmentation of customers and the analysis of their behavior in the manufacturing and distribution industries are of particular importance due to the targeted marketing activities and effective communication with customers. Customer segmentation is done using data mining techniques based on the variables of purchase volume, repeat purchase, and purchase value. This article deals with the grouping of agricultural product customers. Based on this, the K-means clustering method is used based on the Davies–Bouldin index. The results show that grouping customers into three clusters can increase their purchase value and customer lifespan.

Abstract: Variety assortment enhancement is a normal task that involves enhancing the assortment's quality and upgrading varieties. The findings of a research of imported grape varieties in the southeast of Kazakhstan, namely in the Almaty region's bottom-mountain zone, are presented in this article. The onset and conclusion of the main phenological phases of a grape plant throughout the vegetative period were directly influenced by the climatic and meteorological conditions of this district. In comparison to the recognized variety Almaty early-maturing, it has been proven that types Priusadebny, Iyulsky, and Kuibyshevsk early-maturing have a high degree of eyes wintering buds and may provide a high-quality crop in this location.

Abstract: Muslim scholars have defined ethics as enduring traits and characteristics in the in idual that cause actions appropriate to those traits to be issued spontaneously without the need for human thought and reflection. Islamic ethics state the rightness or wrongness of these attributes within the framework of Islamic concepts, while the concepts of Islamic work ethics deal with the functioning of the framework of Islamic concepts in the form of human work activities in various organisations. Furthermore, work ethics can be effective in the organisation when it can shape the culture of the organisation. Research shows that Islamic work ethics have a significant relationship with various in idual, professional and organisational factors. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between Islamic work ethics and organisational culture. The statistical population of this research consists of 1500 Muslim staff of 30 service organisations (financial, educational, medical and hotel organisations) in Moscow, Russia, in 2021, of which 306 people have been selected as statistical s les using Krejcie and Morgan’s s le size table. Data analyses were performed by statistical software, Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The results of this study confirm the significant and positive relationship between Islamic work ethics and organisational culture among the Muslim Russian staff (β = 0.53 T = −8.65).Contribution: This study examines the relationship between Islamic work ethics and organisational culture in Russia and has expanded the results of previous studies conducted in other contexts.

Abstract: Compassionate love is beneficial in a variety of domains, including in education, health, and law, as well as in people’s personal lives. The topic of compassionate love has therefore attracted growing interest from researchers interested in its psychological and social dimensions. Given the importance of compassion to the education and health sectors, and the expansion of these sectors in Iran, this paper aims to provide Persian (Farsi) speaking practitioners and researchers with an effective instrument for measuring compassion. As such, the authors have translated the compassionate love for humanity scale-short form (CLS-H-SF) into the Persian language, and assessed the psychometric properties of this instrument among a s le of the Iranian population. A s le of 827 adults (49.9% women and 51.1% men) completed the Persian version of the CLS-H-SF through an online survey. Concurrent validity was assessed using the Persian versions of the positive and negative affect scale, self-esteem scale, and satisfaction with life scale. The CLS-H-SF positively correlated with positive affect, self-esteem and life satisfaction, and negatively correlated with negative affect. These findings indicate acceptable concurrent validity for the CLS-H-SF. Cronbach’s alpha for the scale was 0.88, indicating good internal consistency between items. A confirmatory factor analysis supported a one-factor model same as the English version of the CLS-H-SF. The findings of this study showed the Persian version of CLS-H-SF had acceptable validity and reliability in assessing compassionate love for humanity in Iranian adults.

Abstract: The prevalence of epidemiological health-risk behaviors and mental well-being in the COVID-19 pandemic, stratified by sociodemographic factors in Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) university students, were examined in the research. Data were collected in March-June 2021 via an online survey from 15,366 university students from 17 universities in seven ASEAN countries. Analyzed data comprised results on physical activity, health-related behaviors, mental well-being, and sociodemographic information. A large proportion of university students consumed sugar-sweetened beverages (82.0% 95%CI: 81.4, 82.6) and snacks/fast food daily (65.2% 95%CI: 64.4, 66.0). About half (52.2% 95%CI: 51.4, 53.0) consumed less than the recommended daily amounts of fruit/vegetable and had high salt intake (54% 95%CI: 53.3, 54.8). Physical inactivity was estimated at 39.7% (95%CI: 38.9, 40.5). A minority (16.7% 95%CI: 16.1, 17.3) had low mental well-being, smoked (8.9% 95%CI: 8.4, 9.3), and drank alcohol (13.4% 95%CI: 12.8, 13.9). Country and body mass index had a significant correlation with many health-risk behaviors and mental well-being. The research provided important baseline data for guidance and for the monitoring of health outcomes among ASEAN university students and concludes that healthy diet, physical activity, and mental well-being should be key priority health areas for promotion among university students.

Abstract: Lifestyles are evidence for the influence of systems, cultures and civilisations within various societies. In view of that, all systems of thought aim to maintain certain ways of living in citizens to implement their ideals. Furthermore, if societies do not accept the lifestyles introduced by such systems, their intellectual foundations and values are rejected. In this regard, the Islamic lifestyle does not imply giving up all pleasures and blessings, but it takes on a ine colour to all pleasures. The objective of this study was to investigate the relationship between religious lifestyle and social health among 1000 Muslim teachers working in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, over a period of six months, in 2020–21. Utilising the simple random s ling method, 278 teachers were thus selected as the statistical s le and then completed some questionnaires on Islamic lifestyle and social health. Data analysis was also performed using the structural equation modeling (SEM) in the Linear Structural Relations (LISREL) statistical software package. The results demonstrated a significant positive correlation between Islamic lifestyle and social health (p = 0.58, t = 6.84).Contribution: The study results showed the importance of Islamic lifestyle in improving teachers’ social health.
