Prof Hall is a population health researcher investigating the public health and public policy implications of neurobiological and genetic research on alcohol and other drug use and addiction. My research includes: the social and health system implications of new pharmacological treatments for addiction arising from neurobiological and genetic research; new approaches suggested for the prevention of drug use and addiction (for example, genetic screening and vaccination); and the impact of neurobiological and genetic research findings on public understanding of, attitudes towards, and support for, different social policies that aim to deal with drug use and addiction.
