Funded Activity Summary

This study aims to develop and validate indicators that can be used to more effectively identify nausea and its contributing factors in patients with advanced cancer receiving palliative care. Stage one involves a systematic review of the literature and qualitative interviews with patients and clinicians to identify clinical and psychosocial factors associated with nausea in the end stages of life. Stage 2 involves a study to evaluate the validity of the identified indicators in predicting patients’ experiences of nausea.
