Funded Activity Summary

The notion that happiness is an important component of mental health is gaining popularity. Researchers have reported that happiness benefits physical health, however there is currently limited research. In addition, there is limited research assessing the affect of physical health on happiness. Using epidemiological methods, I will investigate the relationship between happiness and health in a database that has measurements collected at three time points in the same 15,000 people over 15 years.
