Funded Activity Summary

My research is focused on the prevention; treatment; and improvement in the quality of life of people with eye diseases, in particular those with diabetic retinopathy (DR), the most common complication of diabetes and a blinding eye condition. My work focuses on three main areas: (a) determining the effectiveness of interventions to prevent and treat DR; (b) evaluating new therapies and biomarkers for DR; (c) evaluating patient-centred, clinical, and economic effectiveness of new treatments for other eye diseases.
