Funded Activity Summary

Enhancing the position of Australian iron ore exports through understanding and altering the coalescence phenomenon during sintering. The revenue from Australia's iron ore exports is currently worth over US$50 billion. Current and future changes in iron ore properties means that sinter plants have to use more low bulk density ores. This results in deterioration in sinter properties. This project is aimed at developing technologies to maintain sinter strength and size.
