Funded Activity Summary

Defining, measuring and assessing entrepreneurial capacity: theory building from Australian experience. Australia is recognised worldwide for its research excellence, but does not have a strong track record in converting the knowledge generated by its research activities into tangible benefits. Many sources have attributed it to a lack of ?entrepreneurial capacity? - the skills sets required to convert ideas into businesses. This project aims to examine that skill set in detail, identify its most significant components and assess the extent to which they are present in new ventures. This information will be made available to businesses, educators, research institutions and other stakeholders to address the skills gap and increase Australia's overall entrepreneurial capacity.
