Funded Activity Summary

Advancements in Belt Conveying. Belt conveyors are of considerable importance in bulk material handling operations worldwide. This research will be undertaken in collaboration with three industry partners and will develop fundamental models to predict and improve the performance and reliability in the areas of belt cleaning, belt weighing and belt indentation resistance. A collective approach to the research will significantly enhance the project outcomes due to the strong interrelation of fundamental parameters. The research outcomes will significantly enhance the fundamental knowledge of belt conveying, and strengthen Australia's international standing in the field of bulk materials handling research and industrial application.
