Funded Activity Summary

Neuronal activity underlying efficient sensory processing. This project aims to study how neuronal activity in the sensory cortex efficiently represents the external world. Operating with a finite quantity of attentional resources, the brain needs to prioritise processing to provide important information about a situation. This project combines neurophysiology, behavioural and computational sciences to study attention mechanisms in rodents. This multidisciplinary project aims to develop a novel paradigm for studying sensory prioritisation in rodents as a model organism.
