Funded Activity Summary

Exploring the link between group processes and outcomes of group psychotherapy. In Australia an estimated 20% of people suffer from mental disorders for which group psychotherapy is a treatment of choice. This project has the potential to deliver direct benefits to these patients by optimizing the way group psychotherapy is structured and delivered, thus reducing emotional suffering as well as reducing the cost of treatment. As a result, it would have tremendous implications for the treatment of mental health problems nationally and internationally.
