Analysing cell-cell communication mechanisms using microfluidic platforms. The project employs advanced micro-engineered systems to explore the communication of cells. Cells are patterned in close contact and stimulated with physical and chemical stimulus while their response is monitored in real-time. The findings elucidate how malfunctioned cells affect neighbouring cells and how diseases are propagated in tissues.
