Funded Activity Summary

The objectives of this project are: (1) to develop a comprehensive and comparable list of services, resources, and cost sources for common mental disorders in selected Spanish Autonomous Communities; (2) to establish standardised unit and total costs for these disorders; and (3) to create a comparable set of key indicators for the involved mental health care systems. This will be carried out in line with European standards currently being developed (PECUNIA project). To achieve this, a methodological design with five interlinked phases will be applied to identify, measure, value, and compare standardised costs using a set of indicators. This design combines qualitative (systematic review and nominal groups) and quantitative techniques (multivariate statistics, Monte Carlo simulation, and fuzzy logic).
