Funded Activity Summary

Advances in Hadron Physics. This project aims to provide a deeper understanding of the structure of strongly interacting particles, which make up approximately 98% of the visible mass of the Universe. This constitutes one of the five great challenges in modern nuclear science. Drawing on state-of-the-art supercomputer simulations and experiments at the world's leading laboratories for subatomic physics, the project aims to shed new light on how their weak and electromagnetic structure is generated, as well as the nature of baryon excited states. This project is expected to promote international collaboration and provide a rich, research intensive environment for training outstanding post-graduate students and research fellows.
