Understanding and overcoming public rejection of scientific innovation. This project aims to improve the understanding and measurement of psychological resistance to innovation uptake. The project will test new communication strategies designed to overcome this resistance. Expected outcomes include new insights about how to communicate innovations most effectively to broaden their public appeal. This has benefits for maximising public uptake of innovations that deliver positive social change.
