Funded Activity Summary
Network for Research Development in Medieval and Early Modern European Social and Cultural Studies. Funding is sought to establish the framework for an Australian-based international research network of scholars in medieval and early modern studies (MEMS). The MEMS network will develop collaborative, cross-institutional and interdisciplinary lines of enquiry in three main areas: family, gender and social history; war, peace and conflict; Australian reception of European culture. The objectives are: a bibliometric survey of relevant Australian resources; meetings to coordinate and integrate the efforts of existing Australasian MEMS organisations, early career researchers, and isolated scholars; exchanges of postgraduates; development of a web-base to act as a virtual workshop and conference facility linking Australian and international research.Funded Activity Details
