DAAO The Dictionary of Australian Artists Online. This project seeks funding for the development of a blueprint for an authoritative Dictionary of Australian Artists Online (DAAO). Based on a conceptual framework originated by Joan Kerr in her Dictionary of Australian Artists, the DAAO integrates existing online research with information updated continuously by editorial amendment from new entries generated in scholarly research. The body-computer interface in new media art from 1984 to the present. Our understanding of computers is restricted by dominant cognitive models of the interface. This project will use digital tools, fieldwork and formal analysis to link a major collection of Balinese paintings held in Australia to collections elsewhere in the world, and to the current practices of Balinese artists. Art and Amusement in Eighteenth-Century France. My aim is to produce an interpretive study analysing the role of amusement within the visual culture of eighteenth-century France. By reconnecting the aesthetic theory of the Enlightenment with the diverting qualities of rococo art, the project demonstrates the serious side of play during the Old Regime.
