2026 ARDC Annual Survey is now open!

The Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) invites you to participate in a short survey about your interaction with the ARDC and use of our national research infrastructure and services. The survey will take approximately 5 minutes and is anonymous. It’s open to anyone who uses our digital research infrastructure services including Reasearch Link Australia.

We will use the information you provide to improve the national research infrastructure and services we deliver and to report on user satisfaction to the Australian Government’s National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) program.

Please take a few minutes to provide your input. The survey closes COB Friday 29 May 2026.

CRE For Better Outcomes In Inflammatory Arthritis

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $2,500,000.00
    Summary
We aim to find the right treatment for children and adults with inflammatory arthritis to give the best path to symptom relief with least risk of side effects. We will build on our national data-base and biospecimens bank (A3BC-ARAD) to collect a broad range of patient-reported, biological, environmental and health information to unlock the answers using big-data analysis. We will build a resource and workforce to continue to look for cures to deliver the best outcomes for patients and society.

NHMRC Centre Of Research Excellence For Better Outcomes In Coronary Artery Disease

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $2,500,000.00
    Summary
One Australian suffers a heart attack every 10 min, many without any prior warning. What contributes to atherosclerosis beyond traditional risk factors, and how to manage patients that suffer a heart attack despite no risk factors is not well known. This CRE will establish new biomarkers and clinical pathways for detection of subclinical atherosclerosis as well as secondary prevention strategies whilst fostering the cardiovascular research leaders of the future.

Australasian Cerebral Palsy Clinical Trials Network (AusCP-CTN): Optimising Interventions And Effective Services For Children With Cerebral Palsy

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $2,499,287.00
    Summary
Cerebral Palsy (CP) is common and disability can be progressive so the heathcare burden is immense (0.14% GDP). Our Clinical trials network will improve early detection and develop new interventions to improve physical, cognitive and health outcomes for children with CP and their families. Recruitment from the national CP Register will address clinically important questions and test implementation of effective treatments. New Clinical Practice Guidelines will ensure translation internationally.

Dental Health Services Research For Improved Oral Health Outcomes

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $2,641,484.00
    Summary
This research will generate new knowledge to improve health outcomes by investigating expenditure and financing of dental care, dental practice performance, and the impact of dental services on oral health outcomes. This is needed for health policy to deliver dental care that promotes good oral health, to identify characteristics of the dental delivery system that deliver productive outputs with good outcomes, and testing oral health outcomes in relation to the type of dental care received.

Australian Resuscitation Outcomes Consortium [AUS-ROC] CRE

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $2,668,571.00
    Summary
The Australian Resuscitation Outcomes Consortium (Aus-ROC) will be modelled on the highly successful North American Resuscitation Outcomes Consortium. The mission of Aus-ROC will be to conduct clinical trials and observational studies into the emergency management of out-of-hospital cardiopulmonary arrest. Building on our existing collaborative partnerships, our goal is to improve patient outcomes and build the research capacity in prehospital emergency care.

Centre For Research Excellence In Developmental And Epileptic Encephalopathies

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $2,500,000.00
    Summary
We will study the clinical, genetic and psychological aspects of patients with the most severe group of epilepsies, the Developmental and Epileptic Encephalopathies (DEEs). We will define the clinical spectrum of each genetic DEE, improve health outcomes through understanding the natural history of these diseases, build an integrated model of care, produce family resources and assess health economic impacts. This program will ensure Australia is poised for emerging Precision Medicine trials.
