2026 ARDC Annual Survey is now open!

The Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) invites you to participate in a short survey about your interaction with the ARDC and use of our national research infrastructure and services. The survey will take approximately 5 minutes and is anonymous. It’s open to anyone who uses our digital research infrastructure services including Reasearch Link Australia.

We will use the information you provide to improve the national research infrastructure and services we deliver and to report on user satisfaction to the Australian Government’s National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) program.

Please take a few minutes to provide your input. The survey closes COB Friday 29 May 2026.

Complete the 5 min survey now by clicking on the link below.

Otago Exercise Program For Older Adults Recovering From PFF: Feasibility, Gait Analysis And Physical Function.

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $88,214.00
    Summary
Hip fractures are a common, serious and rapidly growing problem for older people. The consequences for an individual can be devastating including reduced mobility, loss of independence and ultimately admission to a nursing home. This study aims to identify strategies to assist clinicians in the individual prescription of the most appropriate therapy, improve rehabilitation programs and ultimately the outcomes for hip fracture sufferers.

Optimal Choice Of Skin Mounted Marker Locations On The Tibia Effectively Reduces The Effect Of Soft Tissue Artifact.

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $56,677.00
    Summary
Gait analysis is a technique used to get information about the way people walk. The information is obtained by measuring the position of markers attached to the skin over bony landmarks. These areas of skin are known to move in relation to the landmarks when people walk. This can limit the accuracy of three dimensional analysis of walking. Innovative techniques to overcome this problem will be identified, increasing accuracy of measurement and clinical decision making.

Discrete Simulation Of Powder Dispersion In Pharmaceutical Aerosol Inhalers

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $35,085.00
    Summary
This project seeks to develop fundamental understanding of the dispersion mechanisms of powders as aerosol for inhalation drug delivery. It couples computational simulations using computational fluid dynamics and discrete element method with experimental dispersion analysis. Successful development of this research will lead to a comprehensive understanding of factors controlling inhaler performance and thus maximizes the therapeutic benefits to the patients.
