Linkage Infrastructure, Equipment And Facilities - Grant ID: LE120100208

    Funder
    Australian Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $350,000.00
    Summary
An advanced computational facility based on a graphic processing unit for particulate research. The graphic processing unit (GPU) is becoming an engine for the next generation of supercomputers for scientific research. The technology at this new facility will be exploited to perform large-scale, real time simulations of complex particulate material processing which is critical to Australia’s mineral/metallurgical/material industries.

Linkage Infrastructure, Equipment And Facilities - Grant ID: LE120100209

    Funder
    Australian Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $150,000.00
    Summary
Multi-purpose facility for enhanced complex ore beneficiation and waste material recycling. This facility will provide new separation equipment that exploits differences in physical-chemical characteristics and behaviour of multi-component minerals and industrial waste. The facility will be used to develop new methods to beneficiate or upgrade low grade mineral ores and materials. Research to be conducted at this facility will lead to improved and sustainable methods which will assist in process .... Research to be conducted at this facility will lead to improved and sustainable methods which will assist in processing, recycling and reusing most of the non-metal and metal waste materials.
