2026 ARDC Annual Survey is now open!

The Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) invites you to participate in a short survey about your interaction with the ARDC and use of our national research infrastructure and services. The survey will take approximately 5 minutes and is anonymous. It’s open to anyone who uses our digital research infrastructure services including Reasearch Link Australia.

We will use the information you provide to improve the national research infrastructure and services we deliver and to report on user satisfaction to the Australian Government’s National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) program.

Please take a few minutes to provide your input. The survey closes COB Friday 29 May 2026.

An Abnormal Inflammatory Response Following Wrist Fracture Causes The Development Of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS).

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $99,073.00
    Summary
This project will contribute essential knowledge about what causes some people to develop Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). CRPS affects approximately 5% of people following a fracture but can also occur with minimal injury. Sufferers experience gradually worsening levels of pain, skin discolouration, poor quality of life, and often severe depression. We will investigate the most likely cause of CRPS, which is thought to be an abnormal inflammatory reaction following injury.

The Development Of Chronicity Following Whiplash Injury: The Fear-avoidance Model Versus A Neurobiological Stress Model.

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $87,476.00
    Summary
Whiplash injuries following car accidents are responsible for a considerable burden on individuals and the community. This study is designed to develop our understanding as to why some people recover quickly and others have ongoing problems months after the accident. By collecting physical and psychological data shortly after their accident and 3, 6 and 12 months later, we will be able to describe the differences between people who do well and those that develop chronic symptoms.
