Creating histories of the Australian Paralympic movement: a new relationship between researchers and the community. This project will explore the history of Australian disability sport, analysing the emerging phenomenon of sport as rehabilitation in the 1950s; through to elite competition at the modern Paralympic Games. Three modes of discourse will interact to involving the researchers, digital expertise, and online writers.
Sport, stories and survival: Reframing Indigenous sport history. This project aims to work with Indigenous communities to research and reframe their sport histories. Sport helped create identity in Australian Indigenous communities during the twentieth century amidst great social and cultural upheaval, particularly in institutionalised communities such as Government settlements and religious missions. This project will work with members of these communities in Queensland and the Torres Strait Is ....Sport, stories and survival: Reframing Indigenous sport history.
