2026 ARDC Annual Survey is now open!

The Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) invites you to participate in a short survey about your interaction with the ARDC and use of our national research infrastructure and services. The survey will take approximately 5 minutes and is anonymous. It’s open to anyone who uses our digital research infrastructure services including Reasearch Link Australia.

We will use the information you provide to improve the national research infrastructure and services we deliver and to report on user satisfaction to the Australian Government’s National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) program.

Please take a few minutes to provide your input. The survey closes COB Friday 29 May 2026.

An Investigation Into The Efficacy Of Medication Warnings About Driving

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $47,427.00
    Summary
It is recognised that the impairing effects of psychotropic medications can have harmful effects on traffic safety, particularly in the case of sleep medications such as benzodiazepines, however the effectiveness of these labels is largely unknown. The PhD will evaluate two approaches to medication warnings used in Australia and France. Results will inform patient care and prescribing advice and labelling, and could support the adoption of the model European labelling.

Investigating The Neural Basis Of Memory Impairments In Schizophrenia

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $82,920.00
    Summary
The memory deficits experienced by people with schizophrenia are one of the most disabling symptoms associated with the illness. Taking this into consideration, this proposal will address two key research questions: (1) what regions of the brain are involved in the long-term memory problems in schizophrenia; (2) whether administering the drug ketamine to healthy individuals produces the same changes in brain activation as those observed in schizophrenia patients.

Managing Return-to-play Decisions Following Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI): A Cohort Study

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $63,350.00
    Summary
Contact sports, such as rugby, carry a high risk of mild traumatic head injury (mTBI) and such injuries have the potential for adverse long-term sequelae. There are conflicting guidelines about when a player should return to play. The study aims to estimate the incidence of rugby-related mTBI, assess the role of risk and protective factors, and develop recommendations for managing return-to-play decisions following mTBI in community level rugby players within the Sydney metropolitan area.
