The Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) invites you to participate in a short survey about your
interaction with the ARDC and use of our national research infrastructure and services. The survey will take
approximately 5 minutes and is anonymous. It’s open to anyone who uses our digital research infrastructure
services including Reasearch Link Australia.
We will use the information you provide to improve the national research infrastructure and services we
deliver and to report on user satisfaction to the Australian Government’s National Collaborative Research
Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) program.
Please take a few minutes to provide your input. The survey closes COB Friday 29 May 2026.

VULNERABILITY OF THE INTRAUTERINE GROWTH RESTRICTED HEART AND KIDNEY TO ELEVATIONS IN BLOOD GLUCOSE LEVELS IN ADULTHOOD
Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
Funding Amount
$58,288.00
Summary
It is proposed that the hearts and kidneys of subjects that were born small for gestational age are particularly vulnerable to the pathophysiological changes induced by hyperglycemia, even when blood glucose levels are only mildly elevated. In the present project, this concept will be investigated. The outcomes of this study will be particularly relevant to the Australian Aboriginal population, as they have a higher incidence than normal of low birth weight and impaired glucose metabolism.
The Molecular Basis Of Experimental Oxygen-induced Retinopathy
Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
Funding Amount
$82,924.00
Summary
Retinopathy of prematurity is a potentially blinding eye disease that affects some very low birth-weight premature infants given oxygen therapy. Determining which infants are likely to be severely affected is currently difficult. Using an experimental animal model, the aim of this project is to investigate genetic factors that may be used to identify those infants who are most at risk of developing disabling retinopathy.
