Lives in limbo: An anthropology of refugee experiences in Malaysia. This project will produce the first comprehensive ethnography of Malaysia's refugee and asylum seeker population. This diverse population is of key strategic significance to Australia's migration policy. Many of the refugees and asylum seekers living in Malaysia are in transit, awaiting permanent resettlement to a Western country.
