Increasing organisational capacity of community residential units to facilitate ageing in place for people with intellectual disability. Financing and management of lifetime care for adults with acquired disabilities and high care needs. Lifetime care for adults with acquired disabilities is of growing public concern. Substantial levels of unmet need, poorly coordinated services and inadequacy of care arrangements to guarantee lifetime care are pressing concerns. Intergenerational equity is a principle underpinning policy debates around financing retirement and care in older age. Enhanced understanding of this cohort's expectations and obligations will assist in policy development around financing retirement and paying for care that takes account of this cohort's expectations and obligations.
