Summary
The standard clinical advice is that the best way to prevent headaches is to avoid the triggers, but we have argued that this may lead to decreased tolerance for triggers and therefore more headaches. We have developed an innovative approach to managing triggers which focuses on training people to cope with triggers. The proposed research will evaluate a new treatment for headaches based on integrating our approach to managing triggers into our behavioural treatment program for headaches.

Although a cancer diagnosis and treatment have profound effects on both patients and their partners, most supportive care interventions target patients, whilst neglecting partners. To address this gap, our team is developing a Coping-Together intervention, which includes a novel, self-directed coping skills training workbook to assist couples affected by cancer manage common challenges post-diagnosis. The internet is increasingly utilised by people affected by cancer to obtain information and support. However, to date no randomised controlled study has evaluated the effectiveness of a structured online self-help therapeutic program. Therefore, the present study aims to examine how helpful 'iCanCope' is, an interactive online 6-week self-help coping program, compared to online information only, in improving distress, coping and quality of life after cancer diagnosis.

Summary
Critically ill hospitalised patients are frequently malnourished. When feeding is reestablished in malnourished patients, they often exhibit severe electrolyte imbalances and metabolic disturbances that can lead to slower recovery times, increased complications and even death. The purpose of this clinical trial is to investigate the benefits of a conservative approach of managing critically ill patients with refeeding syndrome.
