Summary
The interactions that occur in cancer treatment with other patients, family members and staff are often unavoidable. Recent research examining patient's interactions has demonstrated the importance of these communications, as social support, a forum to exchange information and ideas, and a gathering of people facing the same challenges. This study aims to examine the role of these interactions between patients, staff and family members to explore the purposes and effects of these interactions.

Summary
The objectives of this research are to contribute to a deeper understanding of the issues of social inclusion for newly-arrived adolescent refugees in Australia by exploring the nature and extent of the social networks they experience. It will also assess the impact on social connectedness and socioeconomic disadvantage of an innovative program aimed at enhancing educational and employment opportunities for young people with refugee backgrounds.

Willpower or 'good' self control is important for success in our academic, occupational, and social lives. This project will use cutting-edge scientific methods to investigate how glucose, the primary fuel for body function, promotes 'good' self-control and stimulates regions in the brain important for self-control.
Tools and models for measuring and predicting growth in internet addressing and routing complexity. We analyse patterns in the allocation and actual use of Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) addresses to predict the technical and market pressures for deployment of IPv6. The utilisation models will help evaluate the potential for emerging markets in scarce IPv4 address prefixes to increase costs to the end-users of Australia's future national broadband network.
