    Hydrogen generation by subsurface iron mineral transformations. Aim The aim of this project is to elucidate key factors responsible for natural hydrogen generation in Australian subsurface environments. Significance Large amounts of this valuable resource are produced naturally with estimates of production rates of this “gold” hydrogen at least 100 times the annual demand for this critical resource. Expected Outcomes Based on improved understanding of the source of natural hydrogen, predictive .... Hydrogen generation by subsurface iron mineral transformations. Aim The aim of this project is to elucidate key factors responsible for natural hydrogen generation in Australian subsurface environments. Expected Outcomes Based on improved understanding of the source of natural hydrogen, predictive tools will be developed that will assist in assessing the viability in Australia of hydrogen exploration and engineered retrieval. Benefits Ready access to naturally produced hydrogen could enable Australia to replace hydrogen that is currently generated via the use of unabated hydrocarbons.

    The AustLit resource: supporting research in studies of Australian literary and narrative cultures. AustLit traces the history of Australia’s engagement with the art of story by creating an innovative web-based environment where all aspects of literary history can be explored, analysed and shared. The 2013 program will broaden AustLit’s information base in areas ranging from contemporary multi-lingual publishing to publishing in the colonial era.

    Stewarding thin markets: improving public sector market effectiveness. This project aims to develop methodologies to identify thin markets in the public service sector. Thin markets, where there are a low number of buyers or low number of sellers, are a major risk for governments utilising a personalised approach to service delivery. This project will develop new methodologies for identifying thin markets and determine ways emerging markets can be stewarded to better achieve their aims.
