Improving the use of antimicrobials in Australian veterinary practices. This project aims to understand the drivers for antimicrobial use in veterinary medicine and develop methods to improve appropriate antimicrobial use in animals. This project expects to generate new knowledge in the area of veterinary antimicrobial stewardship using an innovative interdisciplinary approach. It is the first comprehensive study to address and assess inappropriate use of antimicrobials in veterinary medicine- and is expected to improve quality use of antimicrobials by veterinarians and prolong the efficacy of antimicrobials in veterinary medicine.
