2026 ARDC Annual Survey is now open!

The Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) invites you to participate in a short survey about your interaction with the ARDC and use of our national research infrastructure and services. The survey will take approximately 5 minutes and is anonymous. It’s open to anyone who uses our digital research infrastructure services including Reasearch Link Australia.

We will use the information you provide to improve the national research infrastructure and services we deliver and to report on user satisfaction to the Australian Government’s National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) program.

Please take a few minutes to provide your input. The survey closes COB Friday 29 May 2026.

Complete the 5 min survey now by clicking on the link below.

The Western Australia Malignant Pleural Effusions Management Study- What Factors Can Guide Management And Do Indwelling Pleural Catheters Represent The Best Treatment Option?

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $74,395.00
    Summary
This randomised clinical trial will determine whether indwelling tunnelled pleural catheters are the best treatment strategy for patients with malignant pleural effusions. It will also look for ways in which the speed of fluid recurrence can be predicted. It will save public money by finding the most cost effective treatment strategies.

    Monoclonal Antibodies For Oral Immunotherapy

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $69,684.00
    Summary
Antibodies are the main line of defence the immune system utilises to target viruses and bacteria that invade our body. Raising the level of antibodies can therefore offer effective protection against disease. However, as antibodies cannot be taken orally (as a tablet) they have to be injected into the blood stream. We aim to overcome this limitation by generating antibodies that survive the passage through the stomach, allowing us to target conditions such as Crohn's disease.

Tumour-associated Macrophages (TAMs) And Their Role In Breast Cancer Metastasis

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $72,537.00
    Summary
Tumour-associated macrophages (TAMs) have been implicated in breast cancer spread. Tumour cell behaviour is influenced by the surrounding environment. This study will determine the relationship of TAMs to other cell populations, if the expression of the enzyme, u-PA, in non-tumour cells within the tumour environment is important for breast cancer spread, and whether TAM precursor white blood cells home to the primary tumour and-or to the site of tumour spread before the arrival of tumour cells.
