Creating a Framework for the Environmental Brief. Briefing is a predesign documentation process for building design. At present this process ignores environmental issues. The research will examine the briefing process of innovative Environmentally Sustainable Design buildings to analyse and develope a frame work called an environmental brief.
This frame work can assist with the transformation of the building industry to Environmentally Sustainable Design practice.
Assimilation of architectural and services design in early design modelling. How can buildings in a climate as varied as Australia's balance the best environmental comfort standards for their human occupants, cost and at the same time meet the urgent imperative of reduced energy consumption and associated carbon emissions? This project will examine the phenomenon of urban sprawl in SEQ to understand how sprawl is impacting on architectural and urban environments.
