    Summary
    South Australian Virtual Reality Centre (SAVRC). It is proposed to install a fully immersive three dimensional visualisation facility in Adelaide, at a cost of $5.3 million including requested ARC contribution of $696,005. Applicant Institutions (Adelaide, Flinders, UniSA and Curtin universities) and Industry will provide the remainder. The facility will support South Australia's leading scientific researchers in the sciences, engineering, business management, carbon dioxide sequestration, p .... South Australian Virtual Reality Centre (SAVRC). It is proposed to install a fully immersive three dimensional visualisation facility in Adelaide, at a cost of $5.3 million including requested ARC contribution of $696,005. Applicant Institutions (Adelaide, Flinders, UniSA and Curtin universities) and Industry will provide the remainder. The facility will support South Australia's leading scientific researchers in the sciences, engineering, business management, carbon dioxide sequestration, petroleum exploration and production, space environment, bioinformatics, architecture, surgery, dentistry, archaeology and arts. The facility will enable researchers and industry to significantly leverage other projects leading to much improved research outcomes and efficiency, potentially worth a hundred million dollars or more.

The novel combination of a cryogenic stage and the electrostatic beam blanking modification will support continuance of the local, world-leading research and application of new .... A high resolution variable pressure scanning electron microscope will replace aging, heavily utilised facilities. It will be accessed by existing large and diverse user groups in a mature and internationally-recognised Centre. The novel combination of a cryogenic stage and the electrostatic beam blanking modification will support continuance of the local, world-leading research and application of new imaging techniques, particularly in the materials and mineral sciences. Both new nanotechnology and existing globally-significant industries will utilise the unique aspects of this instrument for product refinement and maintenance of commercial leadership, in partnership with local Universities and Government agencies.

The varied use of plants and plant products is underpinned by an understanding of biochemistry that takes place in plant cells. This proposal is aimed at understanding how some proteins function in more than one location in the multi-compartmentalised plant cell b .... The knowledge that is generated from this research can be used to underpin innovative use of plants within Australia's plant based industries.
