The Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) invites you to participate in a short survey about your
interaction with the ARDC and use of our national research infrastructure and services. The survey will take
approximately 5 minutes and is anonymous. It’s open to anyone who uses our digital research infrastructure
services including Reasearch Link Australia.
We will use the information you provide to improve the national research infrastructure and services we
deliver and to report on user satisfaction to the Australian Government’s National Collaborative Research
Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) program.
Please take a few minutes to provide your input. The survey closes COB Friday 29 May 2026.

Non-invasive Retinal Vein Pulsation Pressure Measurement: A New Assessment Of Glaucoma Treatment.
Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
Funding Amount
$557,666.00
Summary
Glaucoma is the second most common cause of blindness. It is a slowly degenerating disease and the level of treatment required is difficult to predict. At present there is no way of knowing whether the eye is receiving inadequate treatment. We have shown that retinal vein pulsation pressure measurements are an indicator of the likelihood of glaucoma progression. Our proposed studies hope to demonstrate for the first time that it is feasible to determine the appropriate treatment level for indivi ....Glaucoma is the second most common cause of blindness. Pre-eclampsia is a serious medical condition affecting 5% of pregnancies and resulting in significant mortality and morbidity for mothers and babies. As yet there is no acceptable test capable of detecting pre-eclampsia in early pregnancy and diagnosis is made when symptoms and signs are manifest and management options are limited to early delivery. This project is designed to assess the ability of a blood screening test to detect pre-eclampsia in early pregnancy to enable for early intervention ....Pre-eclampsia is a serious medical condition affecting 5% of pregnancies and resulting in significant mortality and morbidity for mothers and babies. Defining The Role Of MiR-146a In Human Hendra Virus Infections
Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
Funding Amount
$348,998.00
Summary
This project aims to improve the medical management of people infected with Hendra virus by defining potential therapeutic windows for treatment with antiviral strategies. The project involves the study of microRNAs, a class of small ribonucleic acid molecules that regulate biological processes in eukaryotes. We will determine the role of microRNAs in the Hendra virus infection process in humans, and their application as diagnostic markers of Hendra virus infection.
A vitamin-sized capsule, containing gas sensors, is to be fully developed for assessing the state of health and diagnosing the diseases relevant to gastrointestinal tract. The capsule travels along the tract, transmitting information about the gas species generated by the microorganisms of the gut, which is closely associated with the health of the human under surveillance. The information will be invaluable for diagnostics and adjusting the diet to mitigate and cure the diseases of the guts.
