Summary
Long-term quit rates via existing behavioural and pharmacological approaches to smoking cessation remain low and there is a need for further evidence-based treatments to complement standard treatment. We will conduct a large-scale trial to demonstrate the cost-effectiveness of cytisine compared to existing varenicline treatment. The findings will have direct health care system implications and cytisine, if effective, has the potential to save millions of lives globally.

Social research network for sustainable rural communities. The triple bottom line of social, economic and environmental imperatives forms the accepted ingredients of sustainability. While the economic and environmental dimensions have been relatively well researched, there is insufficient understanding of the socio-cultural dimensions and how these determine environmental and health outcomes. Local governments spend millions of dollars planting and maintaining urban trees every year. Research provides little guidance to these land managers when making critical decisions in a rapidly changing social and physical environment. This project will combin ....Managing urban trees.
