Understanding the automobility decisions of Australian millennials. The aim of this project is to understand the decision-making of young Australians regarding driver licensing and car travel. After decades of growth in car use, young adults are now becoming less likely to get a licence and drive cars. This reduction in car dependence provides an opportunity to reduce road deaths and injuries, road congestion and greenhouse gas emissions. Investigating Transport Disadvantage, Social Exclusion and Well Being in Metropolitan, Regional and Rural Victoria. This project strengthens national approaches to a pervasive Australian problem; fringe urban and rural communities who are excluded from life opportunities due to lack of transport. Evidence suggests this problem is growing as fuel costs rise, the population ages and rural/fringe urban migration continues. Material well-being in the Australian welfare state. This project will use Australian Bureau of Statistics data on incomes, wealth and time use to construct a picture of material well-being in contemporary Australia. The results will show how material well-being relates to stages in the life cycle, to family types, and to relative affluence and relative poverty. Comparisons will be drawn between these results and a similar Australian study based on data from the late 1980s. International compari ....Material well-being in the Australian welfare state. This project aims to provide new and informative qualitative data aimed at preventing and reducing children’s exposure to gambling advertising, promotion and sponsorship (GAPS) in sport. It uses a Commercial Determinants of Health Framework which investigates the impact of industry mechanisms on health outcomes. This project will enable the Commonwealth and Australia to develop the modelling infrastructure that will allow them to assess the future distributional consequences of the far-reaching human capital and health reforms that are likely to be on the policy agenda during the next few decades. Following an innovative co-design process with sector stakeholders and their clients, this project investigates food relief service models that satisfy emergency needs as well as address root causes of food insecurity.
