The Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) invites you to participate in a short survey about your
interaction with the ARDC and use of our national research infrastructure and services. The survey will take
approximately 5 minutes and is anonymous. It’s open to anyone who uses our digital research infrastructure
services including Reasearch Link Australia.
We will use the information you provide to improve the national research infrastructure and services we
deliver and to report on user satisfaction to the Australian Government’s National Collaborative Research
Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) program.
Please take a few minutes to provide your input. The survey closes COB Friday 29 May 2026.

Appropriate responses to the threat require accurate and regularly updated policy information. The construction of an interactive HIV policy data bank will support considerable research in a number of disciplines directly relevant to HIV control. This project draws on multiple sources to construct a research and policy tool which will be drawn on by the partner organizations in a variety of HIV-related research projects.

Around 1 in every 3 vehicle occupants die in a crash where the vehicle rolls over. This crash mode also accounts for around 25% of spinal injuries and cost the community around $2.5 billion annually. There are no rollover crash standards or consumer crash tests. The equipment purchased will be used to develop a rollover crashworthiness test protocol that can be adopted by consumer testing groups, to understand the role of fatigue in precipitating rollover crashes, and to develop a driver fatigue metric. It is estimated this research will result in saving around 150 lives, reducing serious spinal and head injuries and save the Australian community around $800 million per annum.Read moreRead less

The aim of this LIEF is to advance Australia’s specimen banking capabilities through a new, enhanced national facility, the Australian Environmental Specimen Bank (AESB). The AESB would be founded on a unique current archive of human and environmental samples established by the partners to the LIEF. Importantly, the AESB would be managed as a nationally available (to all public sector researchers), operationally self-funded resource for integrated exposure research into the future. The archive is expected to support longitudinal and cross-sectional studies to assess trends in exposure to chemical and biological hazards in the Australian population, identify emerging hazards, and provide a scientific basis for policy and regulatory actions.Read moreRead less

HPLC-ICP-MS is the most reliable cutting edge technology for speciation of metals and metalloids in biological and environmental matrices, and is essential for toxicological studies, which is a major aim behind NRCET's establishment. It will provide a very powerful utility to fill a badly needed knowledge gap for our research and serve the needs of both postgraduate students and postdoctoral fellows. This technology will provide new opportunities in research. It will strengthen our linkages within Faculty of Heath Sciences and with our research partners in CQU, QUT and Griffith and enforce our strong national and international reputation.Read moreRead less

The requested 3D scanning laser vibrometer is intended for the characterisation of 3D vibration of small and large, simple and complex structures, for the purpose of understanding the vibratory behaviour as a precursor to optimising noise and vibration control strategies. It has application to small items for which the use of contact sensors is impossible or impractical, as well as large structures for which the vibration fields can be complex and a 3D scanning capability is essential. Examples include micro-positioning actuators, piezo-electric motors, live cell response, disk brakes, aircraft and vehicles. Outcomes include the enhancement of existing research projects, allowing a greater understanding of the noise and vibration phenomena.Read moreRead less

Tragically road crashes are still the major cause of traumatic death and injury in Australia with an economic and social burden estimated at over $17 billion per year. This internationally recognised research team proposes to use a world leading advanced driving simulator for experimental studies to reduce the carnage and loss on Australian roads. It is vital that Australian researchers are granted access to the highest possible standard of driving simulator technology to facilitate state-of-the-art research that could not otherwise be undertaken on open road settings due to ethical and safety reasons and cost limitations. This advanced driving simulator will support regulations regarding automotive safety.Read moreRead less
