Child Wellbeing in the Context of Parental Detention. This project will investigate the consequences of parental detention for children living in the Australian community. It will use qualitative sociological methods to document and theorise children’s experiences of a parent’s detention, with a focus on the factors that shape children’s social, emotional and material wellbeing in these situations. This project will document perpetrators’ creation of racist content, internet users’ exposure to cyber-racism, the capacity of regulation to manage the impact, and how social media can help communities to resist cyber-racism.

The Young Endeavour tall ship in association with the Department of Navy provides a team-building and skill development training scheme for all Australian youth.
