This study will evaluate whether an innovative intervention tailored to patients’ health literacy improves preventive care for vulnerable and disadvantaged patients in general practice. It will use e-health to support practice nurses to reduce their patients’ risk of chronic disease.

Finding out what can help children feel safer who are currently living in households where there is family violence will enable early intervention for better outcomes for such children. This research is significant because it will focus on targeting appropriate responses by listening to the views of children themselves and hence finding out what is really helpful for them to build resiliency. Summary
Stillbirth is devastating for parents and families. Many stillbirths occur late in pregnancy due to deteriorating health of the baby that can be detected by the mother through a decrease in the baby’s movements. 'My Baby's Movements’ is a personalised, user-controlled and interactive mobile phone tool provided as part of routine care to pregnant women to promote general awareness of their baby’s movements. This trial aims to reduce stillbirth rates by early reporting of decreased movements.

Australians experience a substantial burden of health and social consequences related to sexually transmissible infections (STIs). An intervention targeting key barriers to preventive care will be implemented in 3 general practices. A multiple baseline design will be used to evaluate the success of the intervention. Key outcomes will include the proportion of eligible patients within each practice for whom 3 or more health risk behaviours have been assessed in accordance with guidelines recommendations; and the proportion of eligible patients who have been screened appropriately for breast, cervical and bowel cancer.
