Summary
Prisoners who inject drugs are highly marginalised with high rates of unresolved health and social issues and high rates of return to prison. Little is known, however, about how this group manages after release from prison. This qualitative project will allow ex-prisoners to tell their own stories of the challenges they have had and what strategies (formal and informal) they have used with the aim of informing responses in prisons and in the community setting.

Contraceptive technologies and reproductive choice among immigrant women. New immigrant and refugee women often have poor access to information, advice and support about contraceptive choices. Working with key immigrant and sexual health partner organisations, this project will identify ways to enhance choice and agency to ensure accessible services and optimal outcomes for women and their families.

The Linking for Life Project will identify pathways to wellbeing and better social outcomes across the life-course for high-risk/vulnerable individuals and their families to streamline service provision, improve outcomes and identify cost-efficiencies across government agencies. My place for life: comparison of models of care and housing for older people. This project addresses the national goal: ageing well, ageing productively. Existing Australian housing and community services will be inadequate for the future, but the evidence base for policy development is absent. This project will conduct the first comparative Australian study on outcomes for older people over time in a range of existing housing models.
