Expected outcomes include theoretical advances and a 'best practice' guide for achieving parity.This should provide significant public benefits by advancing female participation across all levels of governments.

This project aims to provide a democratic procedure (deliberative processes) to enhance local government's ability to deal with contentious economic, social, and environmental issues. These processes will be simultaneously tested in
a mature (Ipswich) and emerging (Springfield) community with different demographic profiles.
