The Role of the Creative Arts in Regional Australia: A Social Impact Model. This project will address the challenge to effectively target regional arts funding to programs and activities that build capacity and have lasting impact for end-users. It delivers a framework for evaluating the arts, to argue for the arts to be included in a broader understanding of community and national wellbeing and success. Negotiating Exoticism, Nationalism and Modernity: Constructions of Hispanic Music in Belle-Epoque Paris. Hispanic music and its evocation in French espagnolades fascinated nineteenth-century Paris. Between 1900 and 1914 this culminated in a proliferation of 'Hispanic' works which were composed and performed both by French and Spanish musicians in a variety of styles, genres and venues. This project explores the dissemination and assimilation of Hispanic music in Paris. In order to learn how best to encourage and generate creativity, there needs to be a greater understanding of how successful creative professionals operate. This project focuses on poets as a case study that will inform the development of ways to enhance creativity in other professional groups.
