Summary
This project will study the extremely small numbers of leukaemic cells which are found in patients who are apparently healthy, but which sometimes lead to relapse. Very sensitive methods for measuring and studying low levels of leukaemic cells will be developed and used. To develop new better treatments in the long term, we will study why current treatment sometimes fails to eradicate the leukaemia, leading to patients relapsing. In the 1800s a spate of Pacific monarchies declared pre-emptive independence amidst the upheavals of circling imperial interest. Kingdoms in Tonga, Hawai'i, and New Zealand lasted at least a century, but only years in Tahiti, Samoa and Fiji. Before, during and after Lapita: 5000 years of cultural continuity and transformation at Caution Bay, southern Papua New Guinea. Australia's closest Indigenous neighbours in southern Papua New Guinea have long been thought to have been in contact with long-distance seafarers only in the last 2000 years. This project will document recent archaeological findings that are causing a radical rethink of ancestral connections between Australia and southern Papua New Guinea.
Advancing the theoretical bases of supply chain management through the lens of relational exchange theory. This project will explain and predict the behaviour of supply chain members better than current theories do. An integrated theory of supply chain management will be developed and tested empirically. This theory will enable better understanding of how supply chains function and guide actions of managers so that the expected benefits are realised.
Single Shot X-ray Tomography For Real-Time Functional X-ray Imaging

Summary
Computed Tomography (CT) scanners produce three-dimensional images of vital organs that cannot be obtained by conventional two-dimensional (single projection) x-ray radiographs. However, the radiation exposure is hundreds of times higher than conventional radiography. We will develop the world’s first CT scanner that uses no more radiation than a single conventional x-ray image that will provide four-dimensional reconstructions of a patient’s moving internal organs.
Why is most of the genetic variance for complex traits undetected by large powerful screens of common variants? The genomics revolution has made it possible to measure thousands of DNA variants in individuals. These variants have been associated with phenotypic outcomes in a range of species. Paradoxically, even very large studies have only accounted for a fraction of the resemblance between relatives that we know exist. Land and colonial cultures: tracing Indigenous and settler transformation in the Pacific, 1850-1900. This research asks how conversations about land between settlers and Indigenous peoples in Australia, New Zealand, Hawai'i and Fiji shaped radically new landscapes of ownership during the 19th century. Its outcomes will illuminate the shared history of this region, while enhancing our historical foundations for facing postcolonial tensions over land.
