Adaptive value-flow analysis to improve code reliability and security. This project aims to develop client-driven adaptive value-flow analysis to detect software bugs in system software written in the C/C++ programme language. Static analysis tools for automated code inspections can benefit software developers, but are imprecise, inefficient and not user-friendly for analysing real-world industrial-sized software. The Indian Ocean Region, of vital geopolitical importance to Australia, is the heart of the Third World - overwhelmed by chronic poverty, precarious political systems, and conflicting ethno-religious identities. This project will document attempts at constructing regional identities and institutions, and facilitate the process of 'building' a secure Region.
The Macquarie PEN Anthology of Australian Literature. The anthology will be a major scholarly work. Its publication will stimulate scholarship in the Humanities. The project will also renew mainstream interest in the scope and sophistication of Australian literature. Many new works will be introduced to Australian readers, to education systems and to literary scholarship. Fostering pro-environment consciousness and practice: environmentalism, environmentality and environmental education in Indonesia. This project aims to foster environmental awareness in Indonesia by investigating how some people have become environmentally aware, and by evaluating various environmental education and activism projects. This project will also identify types of education that have proven effective, analyse the reasons for their efficacy and make recommendations accordingly.

Deathscapes: Mapping Race and Violence in Settler States. This project seeks new ways to document, understand and respond to the critical issue of racialised deaths in sites of state custody such as police cells, prisons and immigration detention centres. It plans to examine the conditions under which Indigenous and border-related deaths occur, and to explore how legal and social accountability for them is assigned. Moving away from individual national contexts, it seeks to identify and map, at ....Deathscapes: Mapping Race and Violence in Settler States.
