Making children's needs knowable to law. This project addresses the growing concerns that the family law system is not adequately safeguarding children's wellbeing in parenting cases. Its development of an evidence-based framework for decision-making will facilitate the production of outcomes that will better support the wellbeing of families affected by relationship breakdown.

The project evaluates the impact of the new Family Law Legislation Amendment (Superannunation) Act 2001, which includes superannuation as property that can be split between the parties. It investigates the ways in which the Courts, legal advisers and divorcing parties take superannuation into account when marriages end. A study of work stress, workplace culture and wellbeing programs for lawyers and support staff. Work stress and mental health issues are now recognised as a serious problem among Australian lawyers. This project examines the drivers of work stress in a large public sector legal service organisation and identifies the most effective workplace interventions for promoting mental health and wellbeing among legal service providers.

A whole system approach to improving child witnesses' particularisation of sexual abuse offences. To promote the wellbeing of children, this research aims to improve prosecution rates for child abuse offences through increasing the evidentiary value of children’s statements.
