The study will examine their political, cultural and kinship ties with homelands and map the geography of seven diasporas in Australia. After the deluge: revisiting displacement and resettlement at the Three Gorges Dam, China. The three Gorges Dam project in China displaced 1.13 million people. This project will investigate what happened to those evicted and draw lessons for the nations and institutions that operationalise the displacement of some 10 million people each year.

This project aims to investigate Korean migration to Australia from 1924 to 2024 by utilising undiscovered historical government data and advancing an innovative theory and methodologies for migration studies. The project expects to generate a great deal of new knowledge on early and contemporary Korean immigrants in Australia using archival research, statistical analyses, online surveys and interviews.
