The project aims to provide the partner organisations with an increased understanding of the culture of administering FOI to inform training/awareness programs and campaigns in order to increase the functionality of FOI. Anti-Muslim sentiment across the globe is increasingly expressed on the grounds that Muslims are misogynistic, raising questions about Muslims' intimate relations. This project will investigate the ways that Muslim intimacy has become a site of political contestation in Australia with implications for migrant security and border security.
Collecting at the Crossroads: Anthropology, Art & Cultural Change (1939-85). This project will apply current scholarship on museum collecting practices, art and anthropology to produce a better understanding of one of Australia’s most significant, yet little known, collections of Aboriginal art and culture —the Berndt Museum collection.
