Summary

The humanities in the Asia region: capacity for research collaboration. This project will map the humanities in the Asia region and identify opportunities for strengthening collaboration between researchers in Australia and Asia. The project will collate and analyse available data to inform future strategies for international research collaboration in the humanities; examine research capacity, priorities and trends, and policy developments in the humanities in select Asian countries; investigate .... This project will map the humanities in the Asia region and identify opportunities for strengthening collaboration between researchers in Australia and Asia. The project will collate and analyse available data to inform future strategies for international research collaboration in the humanities; examine research capacity, priorities and trends, and policy developments in the humanities in select Asian countries; investigate Australia’s capability in Asia subject expertise as well as disciplinary areas of research strength; and examine the level and nature of research collaboration between humanities researchers in Australia and Asia, including impediments to collaboration, to better facilitate knowledge exchange in the region.
