Summary
Developing strong, robust and high performing women football players. Women drop out of Australian football at a higher rate than men, often due to concerns about their physical capabilities and performance. Yet, coaches do not prioritise developing physical capacity (eg strength), due to perceived lack of relevance to football. Yet, coaches do not prioritise developing physical capacity (eg strength), due to perceived lack of relevance to football. In community Australian football players, this study will identify physical capacity elements relevant for football performance, assess the change across a typical season and the influence of gender and age. Combining sport science and engineering, smartphone videos and open-access software will be utilised to develop cost-effective methods to assess tackling skill. This project aims to link a large-scale ophthalmic database of visual field tests to population-based injury data which includes police-reported crash data, hospitalisation, death and trauma data in people aged over 60 years. Summary
Unlocking Urban Airspace for Drone Transport. This project aims to accurately quantify the mid-air collision risk associated with low-altitude unmanned operations in urban airspace through the creation of new data-driven collision risk modelling techniques. Without such techniques, drone operations remain suppressed so their true potential cannot be realised. The collision risk models address this by providing the key missing knowledge that can underpin/enable vital unmanned traffic management ....Unlocking Urban Airspace for Drone Transport. Without such techniques, drone operations remain suppressed so their true potential cannot be realised.
